Job Position Details: JOB CATEGORY: Health Care Staff REPORTS TO: Program Director BASIC FUNCTIONS: The Behaviour Specialist assists the program staff in screening and assessment of child behaviour. The Behaviour Specialist observes children in both residential and classroom settings, identifies children "at risk" for impairment in social emotional functioning in the residence, in the classroom and the community. The Behaviour Specialist consults with parents, teaching, and resource staff on a variety of behavioural management issues and provides on-going behavioural intervention in the residential classroom settings.

Location: The placements are all located on the East Coast; Predominately in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.

Pre-requisite: You qualify for this program, if you:

- are a graduate with a bachelor/diploma in a social services related field of study.
- are interested in professional development in the United States
- are able to understand academic training and professional identity well enough to communicate professional concepts with American colleagues
