| Job Position Details: |
Internship in a leading U.S. cable news network. Candidates will learn and observe the fundamentals of news gathering and breaking news coverage for a 24 hour Spanish speaking network. Candidates will shadow assignment editors to gain an understanding of how the different departments interact. Candidates will handle communications with network assignment desks, outbound bureaus and sister networks throughout the US and internationally. Candidates will gain inside perspective and learn all aspects of news gathering and TV production for a future career in the industry. Housing is not provided although employer will help search J-1 should bring at least $800 with them upon arrival. You can also check the "Internship training USA" programme description. | Pre-requisite: |
Candidates must be proficient in Spanish, have professional experience and a related educational background in Journalism, Communications or TV/film production preferably with a newspaper, magazine or news network. Experience with non-linear editing systems, Avid, Final Cut Pro a plus. |
